My Story

For over 15 years, I've dedicated my career to advocating for those who need a powerful voice in their corner. My journey began in the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office, where I served as an Assistant District Attorney for seven years in both the adult and juvenile delinquency divisions, handling complex felony cases and developing the sharp litigation skills that would later prove invaluable in fighting for educational rights.

This foundation in criminal justice opened my eyes to systemic inequities, particularly in how they affect young people and those with disabilities. It inspired me to shift my focus to education law and disability rights, founding my own practice in 2016. Since then, I've represented countless children with disabilities, including those with ADHD, ODD, Dyslexia, Tourette's Syndrome, and Autism Spectrum Disorder, ensuring they receive the Free Appropriate Public Education, guaranteed under the federal law, IDEA.

I also serve as a Title IX Attorney Advisor for The Pennsylvania State University, where I have represented both claimants and respondents. Additionally, as a former Mental Health Review Officer for Allegheny County, I understand the mental health court system when a loved one is involuntarily committed and what happens when a doctor requests the loved one to stay longer than 72 hours. These experiences provide the background and framework to competently and effectively protect and advocate for you and your family. â€‹

In 2021, I expanded my advocacy by founding the Disability Media Network, a streaming platform dedicated to authentic representation and stories from the disability community. This venture reflects my belief that advocacy takes many forms – from legal representation to cultural change.
